Thanks for coming.
We continue limited "in person" worship at 10:00 every Sunday morning, with COVID protocols as before (masks, distance, contact tracing). We are now able to SING while masked and distanced. We have a somewhat larger repertoire of music in person than we have online, due to copyright. RVUMC's building is accessible! We also continue our pre-recorded online services; if you'd like to be part of our pre-recorded remote services, let us know. You do not even have to come to RVUMC to record parts! Contact Pastor Caroline in advance, also, if you'd like the order of worship emailed to you. The Second Sunday of Advent, December 5, is here ; for the print order, click this. Much of Bishop Bickerton's November address to the Council of Bishops is included in the service.
Thank you to everyone who baked, boxed, and/or bought pre-Thanksgiving cookie assortments which sold briskly (outside!) on Saturday Nov. 20. Pre-Christmas cookies will also be pre-boxed and brought outside, on Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th. For details see EVENTS and CALENDAR. Keep on baking!
We also have fair trade items from Equal Exchange (teas, coffees, chocolate and olive oil).
The Sauerbraten Dinner on Saturday Nov. 6th was SOLD OUT well in advance.
Thank you to all who helped and to everyone who supported this.
Because of COVID limits on indoor worship and indoor eating, RVUMC didn't have a pancake breakfast and "First Responder Sunday" service this year. Our "2nd Sunday Supper" at 5:30 on the 12th was OUTDOORS, free and open to all.
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is working with partners in Haiti to deliver emergency food, water, and medical care in the aftermath of the major earthquake there on August 14th followed by tropical storm Grace (!). Contributions will get to UMCOR most efficiently if you make gifts online at https://umcmission.org/advance-project/982450/ or by checks sent to Global Ministries/UMCOR, P.O. Box 9068, New York, NY 10087-9068, with Advance #982450 noted on the memo line.
Thanks to those who helped cook, set up, serve and clean up the "Second Sunday Supper" on August 8--especially Matt who hauled grill to church AND did amazing veggies, fried rice and chicken. As always, it was free to anyone in the community. It was outdoors due to COVID concerns and the weather was GREAT.
The August 15 service is HERE.
and the order for that here.
Saturday, May 8th RVUMC's PLANT SALE was outdoors only, COVID protocols--no "garden tea" this year.
April 25's "Good Shepherd Sunday" pre-recorded service should be HERE. The order of worship including all the readings is here. If you're viewing the pre-recorded service, see if you can spot what spell-check and real people missed this week! Despite what YouTube claims, the hymns are public domain.
April 18's order of worship including text for all the readings should be HERE.

We continue to offer 20-30 minute worship on the church's (Rondout Valley United Methodist
Church) Facebook page and on the pastor's also (RVUMC). Starting with
July 12th 2020's worship it's also on YouTube, at RondoutValley
Methodist. Most Midweek Moments (March 2 and 17) are on the "video" page; there is also a "midweek moment" at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x94DhW9rE5g . Sunday services are available by our "usual" worship time of
Sunday at 10, more or less; and remain available for later viewing. If
you'd like an order of worship emailed to you with the prayers, hymns
and readings contact the pastor; best email for this is
firstname.lastname@example.org. You can find us at 25 Schoonmaker Lane in Stone
Ridge, NY, at the corner of Schoonmaker Lane and Route 209.
Sunday, Feb. 14 was not only Valentine's Day; it was Transfiguration Sunday, and the NY Annual Conference recorded a worship service that was streamed at 8:45 am on the 14th, but will also be available ANY TIME at: https://www.nyac.com/respite-service-february-14-2021
RVUMC is no longer a satellite pickup location for RV Food Pantry Emergency Bags; if you are in need of food call the RVFP directly at 687-4013. Church phone is 845 687-9090. Watch this space and Facebook for updates; stay safe, stay in touch with others by phone and email; and let us uphold each other and our world in prayer.
