CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
For school-age children, following the children's time in the Sunday morning worship service, RVUMC offers time to attend classes which we call "Feed Your Faith". Classes began in September and continue through May.
For grownups, we have offered a variety of short-and-longterm Bible studies as well as book and video studies on various subjects. In the past year (Fall 2016) we and our neighbors at Christ the King Episcopal Church studied the book of Genesis; identical sessions are held at RVUMC at 6:45 to 8:30 on Wednesday evenings and 9 to 10:45 Thursday mornings. During Advent and Lent we studied (and listened to!) the Biblical passages used in Handel's "Messiah." The study was called "Hallelujah." In the spring this year (2017) we read Adam Hamilton's Making Sense of the Bible. Last year we studied Mike Slaughter's Change the World, a book-and-video study. We have also had studies on the Gospel of Mark and Methodist Social Principles, among other things.
